ABOUT KWANA

Photography for me was not planned, in 1994 on a vacation to Jamaica I borrowed my then boyfriend's camera and took some amazing pictures. I kept the camera and lost the boyfriend...funny how that turned out! In 2008 I purchased my first professional camera for my adventure to Ghana, West Africa. Since then I have also traveled to Asia, South America, and parts of Europe. I participated in a year long intensive study of photography at the Washington School of Photography in Rockville, Maryland. In the professional program, I studied the technical aspects of composition, lighting, the creative elements of photography and much more. I also fine tuned my existing skills so I could bring to you the finest in portraiture, religious ceremonies, event and wedding photography. The images I produce are high quality, detailed and memorable.
My name it may be a bit confusing the “K” is pronounced like a “G!" So, why didn’t my parents just spell it with a “G” because that’s easy. My name originates from a river that flows through North Africa.
I have four adorable nephews ranging in age from 8 months to 10 years old they keep me busy along with my photography and travels abroad.

You give LIGHT and on the other end of the camera’s lens I see YOU.

Give light and people will find the way.
